
How do I make an appointment for therapy?
Please call or email Mark or Susan to schedule an appointment. We offer a free short phone consultation to answer your questions and discuss whether we would be a good fit.
Do I need to do anything before we meet?
Before our first appointment, we will send you a link to a confidential client portal and ask you to complete the initial paperwork. This should take 10-15 minutes.
What can I expect at the first session?
For in-person therapy: When you arrive, please come in and have a seat in the waiting room. Your therapist will greet you at the time of your appointment.
For telehealth: Before your session, you will receive a link by email or text (whichever you have requested) to a video conference with your therapist. At the time of your appointment, click on that link to join the meeting.
During your session, you will have the opportunity to explain why you are seeking therapy and what you hope to achieve. You may be open and honest with your therapist since these sessions are confidential. Finding a good fit with a therapist is important. If you feel comfortable after the first session, and you would like to continue with the therapist, you may schedule another appointment.
What happens if I need to cancel an appointment?
If you need to cancel an appointment, please do so within 24 hours, or you will be required to pay a missed session fee of $35 before we can schedule your next appointment.
How long will I stay in therapy?
Individual sessions are 50 minutes long. Length of treatment varies widely from person to person and is a decision you can make together with your therapist.
